Governed SharePoint Online at Scale

SharePoint Online is easy to stand up and hard to keep in shape. Sites get provisioned on request, permissions get granted directly and never reviewed, and the work that should have been scripted gets done by hand for years.

I handle both halves: the administration — tenant and site settings, permission models, retention and records configuration, external sharing, lifecycle and reporting — and the customization that makes it usable, from site and library design through SPFx web parts, Power Apps forms, and Power Automate workflows.

The centrepiece is a PnP PowerShell provisioning engine I built and have run at scale — thousands of sites in a large government tenant, each provisioned from a defined template with its site settings, custom page libraries, lists, and content types already in place. That's the difference between governance as a policy document and governance as something the tenant enforces on its own. It also means the standard is repeatable: the thousandth site is configured the same way as the first, and the tenant stays auditable rather than depending on anyone's memory.
